I am oh so tempted to buy that tangkou and dal, but i dont know. These dolls are worth so much more i think, one is even brand new. Why are they so cheap?

Sooooo, I decided, after several erased attempts, to repaint her pose doll style.  I still need a lot of practice to get that proper “painted as fast as possible” pose doll look, but I do think I’m getting better at the “those shapes shouldn’t look like an eye, but they do, huh” aspect.  She’s wearing a Liv wig with the pin intact, to make it sit high off of her head and evoke that proper pose doll bouffant ‘do.

i love it, she looks like one of those handmade korean poupees. Im curious though, i think ive seem a similar doll to this in family dollar a long time ago. Do you know what type of doll this is?

Yep, the pose doll face I copied was Korean!  And, yep, this doll’s head was from a dollar store doll, in a little baggie with a cardboard header, but I can’t remember what the doll was called.  (This one was found in a thrift store, but I do remember seeing them new in Dollar General ages ago.)

kk thanks, i new id seen the scuplt before

Welcome to Dolls Academy: ezralahm: Just out of curiosity is she yellow or white? If she’s...

Ah well!  Regardless - Moondancer really is one of my favorites though so you definitely found an awesome pony.  :)  She and Glory are two of the prettiest of all the G1s!  Congrats!

thanks ^_^ im really glad myself that i found her. Honestly i thought id never see a mlp g1 in my state’s thrift stores ever. Then qll of a sudden there it was, and on a crappy day day for me too. It really brightened things up. I think ill clean her up a bit though, maybe that will help a little with her yellowness. Just decades of dirt.

thankyou! Anyways i think the white ones are actually the ones that are worth alot. Sadly mine is very,…

Yes and no.

There’s Italian Yellow Moondancer that goes for $100-ish.

You can get more for her the whiter she is but if she is 100% totally legit yellow, you found a really good thing.

i think so too, but mostly because shes my first g1 pony, also the first ive seen up close. I’m looking at her now and i cant really tell which she is, however i think she may just be a regular, really yellowed one because she has the daker hair. Also it says she was made in hong kong, however im not sure if they manufactured italian moondancer in italy or not. Still i think she may just be regular. I
